It's Not Too Late

So many people have asked me why I decided to record this Gospel CD. The reason is simple – my calling is to sing Gospel music.

I have been blessed to do what I love the most, and that is to sing. My younger brother and I started singing at the ages of 3 & 4. As “The Abraham Brothers” we even shared the stage with the greats of Gospel music: The Imperials, the Oak Ridge Boys, J.D. Sumner & the Stamps Quartet and many more.

At 21 I left Gospel music to pursue a career in Rock & Roll. For over 18 years I wanted nothing to do with the church and ran away from what I knew was right. I had become “the prodigal son.”

In 1999 my Mother passed away, everything changed for me. I began to reflect on where I was headed and who I had become. I found myself remembering the simple Gospel songs of my childhood, and was inspired to write a song for my Mom, I Am Going to a Better Place. This was the first Gospel song I had written in over 35 years.

I just knew the Lord was tugging on my heart and I needed to record this album.

These songs are dedicated to my biggest fans – my Mom, who always believed in me; my father who always gave me good advice and never gave up on me; and to my brother Gary, for being my inspiration and for his many prayers.
